Included in every package

  • Honest scene recommendations. Before we edit, we tell you what we’d lead with, what we’d cut, and why.
  • Your strongest moment first. The reel opens on a clear, specific moment that is unmistakably you.
  • Tight, natural scenes. Setup and scene-partner dialogue are trimmed, with cuts hidden on reactions.
  • Even sound and consistent color. Dialogue levels are balanced between clips and obvious color problems corrected.
  • A simple name and contact card with your details or your representative’s. No montage opener.
  • Files ready to use: H.264 .mp4 at up to 1080p plus a private viewing link.

What isn’t included

  • Shooting new scenes. We only edit existing footage.
  • Retrieving footage from streaming services. If a scene of yours is online, send the link and we’ll tell you what we can work with.
  • Music or effects. Most casting advice favors a clean reel, so we don’t add music by default.
  • Guaranteed outcomes. No editor can promise auditions or representation.

How much does a demo reel cost?

Editing a demo reel from footage you already have usually costs a few hundred dollars. Published prices from the US editing services we reviewed in October 2026 ran from about $150 to $525. Shooting new scenes is a separate, larger cost.

What moves the price of an acting reel:

  • How much footage needs reviewing. Choosing from 15 clips takes longer than trimming four.
  • How many versions you need. A second genre reel or a short version adds editing time.
  • The condition of the footage. Very uneven sound or color takes more work to make consistent.
  • Whether consultation is included. Some services include a call with an editor or a casting professional.

Published prices we found for produced scenes start at several hundred dollars for a single scene, and multi-scene packages can exceed $1,000. If you’re weighing that, read how to make a demo reel with no experience first.

Market ranges come from providers’ own published pages, checked October 21–22, 2026.

How to compare demo reel services

Whichever editor you choose, these questions show what you’re really paying for:

  1. Will they tell me what to cut, or just assemble what I send?
  2. How many revision rounds are included, and what counts as a revision?
  3. What files do I get: a single reel, separate clips, a viewing link?
  4. How long do they keep my footage, and will they delete it on request?
  5. Will my reel be shown publicly without my permission?
  6. Can I see examples with an explanation of what was changed?

Our answers are on this page, on how demo reel editing works and on our demo reel examples.

Revisions, payment and refunds

Revisions. Each package includes two rounds of revisions. A revision is one set of notes on the cut we delivered, such as reordering scenes, adjusting trims, or swapping a clip for another you already sent. New footage sent after the first cut counts as an update. Extra revision rounds cost $35.

Payment. Full payment is due before editing starts, once we have confirmed that your footage suits the package. We send a secure invoice by email.

Refunds and cancellations. If you cancel before editing starts, you get a full refund. Once editing has started the fee is non-refundable, and if we cannot deliver the first cut we agreed to, we refund you in full. Full terms are in our terms of service.

Pricing questions

Do prices change depending on where I live?

No. All work is remote and priced the same anywhere in the United States.

What if my footage doesn’t fit a package?

Tell us what you have through Start your reel. If it falls outside a package, we’ll quote it before any work begins.

Are separate clips extra?

No. Casting platforms such as Actors Access encourage separate clips, so we treat them as part of a complete job. See Actors Access demo reels and clips.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. If you later want a second genre reel or an update with new footage, we’ll quote it based on the work involved.

Ready to choose?

Send us your footage links and tell us what the reel is for. We’ll recommend a package within one business day.
